Loreal – HIP – Color Rich Cream Crayon – Review and Swatches

I am a total eye makeup freak! I buy everything that even has a word ‘eye’ on it! Since I have a good collection of liners, eye shadows and Mascaras, I thought of reviewing them for the benefit of others.

First pick would always be one’s favorite pick! Yes, I love these color crayons and admire the way they make my eyes look and feel good.

My eyes are brown in color, so I usually choose shades of blue, grey, silver and gold to make my eyes stand out! Taupe, Charcoal, Carbon Black, Mauve, Mallard are other colors which would make brown eyes look more attractive.

About these liners:

HIP – stands for High Intensity Pigment which is a trademark of L’Oreal Paris.
They are rich, creamy and highly pigmented. They give you a shiny finish for your eyes.

A good thing about this crayon is that you can use it as a liner as well as eye-shadow. Both the ways it serves the purpose.

If you have used/like MAC shade sticks, you would definitely like this one, though it is cheaper than MAC it is a close match of what a shade stick is!

The crayons come with an inbuilt sharpener at the bottom which is an added advantage!

Here are the swatches of the colors I have,

From right to left  –
Pic 1  – 142-Unmistakable (a peachy pink color); 812-Attentive (Gold); 382-Authentic (Dark green), 842-Meticulous (Brownish Pearl)
Pic 2 – 282-Intricate (Dark Blue); 972-Perfectionist (Carbon Black)

Pros:

– Rich color, Creamy and Shiny
– Highly pigmented hence lasts long
– Can be used as liner as well as shadow!
– Awesome colors!
– It comes with a sharpener!
– Smudge-proof!

Cons:

– Price!
– Color availability!
– you would need a nice makeup remover to get rid of these colors, because they are so good and rich 🙂

Overall this is a wonderful eyeliner/crayon and highly recommended. I love everything about this crayon, except for its price!!
